A playgroup for non-vaccinated children has sprung up in Melbourne’s east.

Allie, the mother of one-year-old, told Tom Elliott she was sent the invite as part of her membership to a social networking website.

‘I’m just terrified that we’re going to end up with diseases that have been eradicated coming back because people are too stupid and selfish to vaccinate their children,’ she said.

Tom said so-called ‘anti-vaccinators’ might as well call themselves ‘pro-polio’.

‘How anyone could want polio coming back is beyond me,’ he said.
