Rumour confirmed: armed robbery witnessed at Chelsea Heights service station

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a service station in Chelsea Heights early on Tuesday.
It is believed two men wearing balaclavas attended the Wells Road service station about 4am and smashed the front door with what is believed to be a crow bar.
Rumour File caller ‘Highway Robbery’ told Ross and John the incident happened in front of him.
‘They smashed the door and threatened the guy at the counter,’ he said.

The pair stole cigarettes and cash before fleeing.
No one was injured during the incident.
It is believed the same offenders may have been involved in an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant on Hall Road in Carrum Downs about 4.50am.
Police are investigating both incidents.
