RUMOUR FILE: Jockey wins six of seven races at Wycheproof on Saturday
RUMOUR CONFIRMED | ‘COFFEE MACHINE’ told 3AW Breakfast this morning of another great racing story coming out of Victoria.
A jockey at a country meet rode not one, not two but SIX winners, five of them trained by his father Austy.
Harry Coffey rode six winners at Wycheproof over the weekend, he was hoping to ride in the Melbourne Cup tomorrow but horse ‘Sign Off’ suffered a minor leg injury.
‘He’ll be back soon? We won’t get there tomorrow, but that’s racing.’ Harry tells Ross and John.
Coffey suffers from cystic fibrosis, he says there’s not too many challenges, he just needs to watch his health.
‘I don’t really know any different, i’ve had it since birth.’
‘My health has never held me back, so I’m able to do what I love.’ he said on 3AW Breakfast.
Harry hopes to run in the cup next year.
‘That’s six wins for Harry’
