A pedestrian has died after being hit by an ambulance at Frankston this morning.

The man was on Cranbourne Road near Wattle Tree Lane when he was hit by the ambulance about 2.30am.

It’s believed the Ambulance was travelling to an emergency with lights on and sirens sounding.

The man was treated at the scene but died before making it to hospital.

The man is yet to be formally identified.
