Hot air balloon catches fire, forced to make emergency landing in paddock
A hot air balloon has caught fire and has been forced to make an emergency landing in a paddock east of Melbourne this morning.
There was 15 people on board when the balloon came down just after 6am near Cahillton Road, Gruyere.
Seven News reporter Cassie Zervos told Kate and Craig a 27-year-old woman was taken to hospital.
“For some reason it’s gotten into a bit of strife and the gas tanks on board have actually caught on fire,” she said.
“But no serious injuries and one person has been taken to the Maroondah hospital.”
