Three youths with a sledgehammer have attempted to smash their way into a jewellery store at Brighton.

In yet another brazen attack on a jeweller, the youths hit Holloway Diamonds on the corner of Church and Carpenter streets on Tuesday morning.

Fortunately, they failed to get inside.

They attempted to smash their way inside.

They quickly fled the scene.

‘There’s police everywhere,’ Jenny told 3AW Mornings.

‘It’s very scary.’
