A young man has been rescued after falling into a sewerage drain.

He’s suffered serious injuries to his leg and pelvis, but is in a stable condition.

3AW Mornings was alerted to the incident on Monday morning.

The man was working on a site when he fell about five metres.

It took emergency crews just over an hour to get him out.

Neil Mitchell spoke with Georgia Comensoli, who was at the scene for 7 News.
