Healy urges Saints boss not to spin China experiment
Gerard Healy has called out St Kilda for its messaging around the China game.
The Saints announced a three-year deal on Thursday to play Port Adelaide in Shanghai from 2019, replacing the Gold Coast Suns who played the Power in 2017 and 2018 at Jiangwan Stadium.
But the 1988 Brownlow Medallist told Sportsday it was important for St Kilda CEO Matt Finnis to give Saints supporters “the facts”.
“Rather than give us the real story that it’s a great financial boost for the club, they said it was a great opportunity for the players to show their abilities,” he said.
“Just give us the facts, you’re going to make two million dollars and good luck to you.”
