Hunt for men who stole car from St Kilda bar, dumped it in ocean
Police are hunting two men over a bizarre crime where a woman’s car was stolen before ending up in the ocean.
The incident happened at St Kilda on October 6.
Investigators have been told two unknown males located car keys in the victim’s jacket pocket while she was working at a private event on Jacka Boulevard.
The offenders took the keys and the jacket, located the vehicle, a silver Mazda 3, in the car park and drove it away.
They drove it to North Road Brighton Beach car park, parked at the top of the boat ramp and then pushed the car into the water.
