Melbourne Storm icons Billy Slater and Cameron Smith will be honoured with statues at AAMI Park.

Sports Minister John Eren confirmed the news on Monday.

The decorated duo are two of the greatest players in NRL history.

Slater played his last game in Sunday’s grand final defeat to the Sydney Roosters.
