Peter Ford: Serena Williams records Divinyls hit “I touch myself”
Serena Williams is making news again, this time for releasing her own version of the Divinyls hit “I touch myself” as part of a campaign for breast cancer awareness.
Entertainment reporter Peter Ford told Ross and John it comes on the back of the much-talked about interview with Lisa Wilkinson.
“She’s hyping up Berlei, which she is an ambassador for, and they in turn are right behind Breast Cancer Awareness Week,” Pete said.
“It is very close to Australia as it was a hit for Chrissy Amphlett, who indeed did die from breast cancer and complications from it.”
After listening to the recording Ross and John were both quite impressed with Williams’ vocals.
“Gee, she’s really good!” Ross said.
“It’s actually not shabby at all!” Pete said.
