Ross Greenwood speaks to Nigel Phair from the Centre for Internet Studies at the University of Canberra about who was to blame for the Census debacle.

IMB Managing Director Kerry Purcell fronted the media to explain what went wrong on Census night.

‘In short, the geo blocking protocol was not properly applied by one of the ISP’s,’ he said.

However Nigel Phair explained to Ross Greenwood how he interpreted Kerry Purcell’s statement.

‘He was trying to lay the blame at the feet of a subcontractor,’ Mr Phair said.
