Facebook is experiencing global connection issues, with users unable to log in, post or send messages.

A message shown to users trying to access the website reads: “Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minute.”

Users in the UK have also reported similar issues but not all users appear to have been impacted.

There are reports Instagram is also down.
