A truck’s dashcam has captured the incredible moment a ute loses control and becomes airborne, narrowly missing oncoming traffic and crashing into the parked vehicle.

Paul Cootes from Cootes Quarry Products, who own the truck, told Tom Elliott the incident occurred on Racecourse Road, Pakenham on June 28.

Paul said the driver was “distraught” as he was sitting inside when the crash happened.

“If he had have perhaps gotten out 30 seconds earlier he would have been killed,” Paul said.

“He was really distraught.”

Paul said the truck has been off the road for seven weeks, after the crash caused $80,000 damage.
