The coldest morning in decades is apparently no deterrent for sleepy seals.

This is little fellow has been taking a nap on Brighton beach at North Road all morning.

Police have confirmed he’s healthy and well.

But Brighton residents and pedestrians have been warned to stay well clear.

“It’s an offence for people to go within 30m of a seal on land or to let a dog under your control go within 50m,” he said.
