Bombers season review won’t be ‘abnormal’ despite missing the finals
Essendon won’t overreact to missing the finals in 2018.
Football manager Dan Richardson says the Bombers were understandably disappointed with the club’s start to the year, but they dealt with that at the time.
The Bombers won just four of their first 11 matches before clicking into gear in the second half of the season.
Matthew Lloyd: “On paper, the group was probably good enough to make it.”
But despite missing out on the finals, Richardson told 3AW Football the club’s post-season review will be the same as any other’s.
“There’s a level of disappointment with the way we started,” Richardson said.
“(But) there’s not going to be any abnormal review.
“Every club gets to the end of the year and has a look at what they did well and areas for improvement.
“We feel as though, with some subtle changes through the off-season, we’ll come back raring to go.”
