The body of a man has been found inside a house on Bendigo Street, Collingwood.

Emergency crews arrived at a property on the street about 10.30am on Friday morning.

A crime scene was initially established, however, police have since confirmed they are not treating the death suspiciously.

The street has been in the spotlight recently after police moved in on squatters living illegally in several homes acquired for the dumped East West Link project.
