Government suspends school prison visits after recent controversy
A prison has suspended school visits for a month at the request of the Victorian Government.
The Rumour File was told students from a Melbourne school could no longer visit Loddon Prison while a review was being conducted.
Corrections Victoria later confirmed the Victorian Government had asked the Department of Justice and Regulation to conduct a review of the education program in order to address community and victim concerns surrounding issues including the offending profile of prisoners involved.
The news comes after it emerged Andrew Lee, who killed Patrick Cronin in a one-punch attack, had been speaking with legal studies students.
