Man accused of Frankston attack charged over second serious assault
The man who sparked widespread community outrage after an alleged unprovoked assault in Frankston has been charged over a second serious incident – and remains out on bail.
Ryan Wells, the 32-year-old from Frankston has been charged with recklessly cause serious injury over an incident in Somerville on the 20th of July – just six days before the Frankston alleged attack.
It’s believed the victim of the Somerville alleged assault was hospitalised for 10 days with bleeding on the brain, a broken nose and swollen jaw.
Footage of the alleged incident in Frankston sparked widespread community outrage, Melbourne identities Jeff Kennett and Patrick Dangerfield weighing in after Wells was granted bail.
