Up to eight offenders on the run after violent aggravated burglary
A group of offenders are on the run following a violent home invasion in Melbourne’s west overnight.
The offenders armed with a machete, a hammer, a pole, a taser and a baseball bat stormed the Bronton Close home in Kurunjang near Melton about 1.45am.
They confronted the three occupants, assaulting two men, one aged 56 the other 22.
Both suffered minor injuries.
A 19-year-old woman also suffered minor injuries attempting to flee.
The seven or eight male offenders remain on the run.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives believe parties may have been known to each other.
The 22-year-old victim has declined to make a statement at this stage.
