Mick’s Grill: Adelaide Chairman put ‘petrol’ on their pre-season fire
MICK’S GRILL
Mick Warner has slammed Adelaide chairman Rob Chapman.
The Herald Sun journo told 3AW Football he can’t understand why Chapman put “petrol” on their pre-season saga when it was dying down.
Chapman, who was CEO of St George Bank before joining the Crows, had told 3AW the reporting of their pre-season camp had been off the mark.
“The stuff I’ve heard about the camp I find really interesting, but none of it is true,” Chapman said before Adelaide’s clash with Geelong on Thursday.
Mick said Chapman was contradicting previous statements from the club.
“I have no idea why Rob has said this,” he said.
“Don Pyke said the week before that some of them were true.”
Mick was also intrigued by another of Chapman’s comments:
Rob Chapman: “Nothing went on on that camp that I haven’t attended on business conferences.”
“We definitely need to send a photographer to the next St George Bank footy trip!” he said.
