New data from CoreLogic has ranked the top 10 strongest performing suburbs in each state over the past decade.

The clear winner is Victorian suburb Derrimut which has seen prices grow by 258% over the last 10 years.

Strathfield in Sydney’s west came in on top for New South Wales with owners almost tripling their property value.

CoreLogic’s Cameron Kusher tells Chris Kenny Sydney and Melbourne have seen “much stronger growth in values” than any other capital city.

“That’s really reflective of the strong economic performance of both of states and really strong population growth.”
