‘The options aren’t good’: Expert cave diver says Thai boys aren’t out of danger yet
One of the diving experts who assisted with the mission to locate the boys trapped in a cave in Thailand has told 3AW Mornings the group isn’t out of trouble yet.
Diving Officer at the British Cave Rescue Council Chris Jewell told Tony Jones his team managed to find the boys, but now Thai authorities have taken over.
“Our divers are expert cave divers who are familiar with the challenges of navigating in poor visibility water, their task was to install a dive line to reach the boys underwater,” he said.
“Now that’s happened the Thai Navy Seals have taken over.
“We do urge caution here, there’s still a lot that needs to happen before the boys can get out.
“The options aren’t good.”
