Carlton entering ‘next phase’ of its list management strategy
Carlton’s rebuild is kicking into gear.
List manager Stephen Silvagni has told 3AW Football the club is moving into the “next phase” of its blueprint to success.
“We’re confident we’ve got a good and strong plan the whole club is behind,” Silvagni said ahead of Sunday’s huge clash with Collingwood.
“We’ve gone to the draft and now there’s a next phase.”
Silvagni said the club is currently looking to boost its stocks in key age brackets.
“We’ll look at free agency, we’ll look at trading, but we’re not going to panic,” he said.
“We’re going to be really specific in terms of who we’re going to target.
“It’s not just about getting players between 22 and 26. They’ve got to be able to play.”
Silvagni said ultimately, Blues fans should keep the faith.
“It can turn very quickly.”
