St Kilda has responded to criticism from club great Nick Riewoldt on 3AW Football.

The champion forward has been publicly critical of his old club’s game plan this week, as well as their lack of talent and effort.

Saints footy boss Simon Lethlean says he wasn’t surprised.

“Look, they’re strong views,” he said on 3AW.

“Nick is a very singularly focused athlete that has strong views about performance.

“I’m not surprised he’s watching us at the moment and having some strong criticism.

“That’s part of his job now in the media.

“He’s more than welcome to have those thoughts.”
