Why Elsternwick Primary is removing beloved tractor from playground
Those responsible for the decision to remove a tractor from the playground at Elsternwick Primary School have defended the move, saying it was necessary.
3AW Drive was alerted to the decision to remove the piece of equipment by disheartened parent Glenn on Monday.
He accused the school of keeping kids in “cotton wool”.
Another parent, Danielle Moore, told Tom Elliott it had to go due to the risk it placed the kids.
“It’s just deteriorated over time,” she explained.
“An independent report that was conducted made a suggestion it was a risk and that we’d have difficulty defending ourselves in the event of an injury.”
