Anthony Albanese brushes off leadership aspirations
Anthony Albanese has brushed off suggestions from the government he’s waiting to pounce on the Labor leadership.
Josh Frydenberg described Mr Albanese as a “lion in the grass” waiting to jump on a wounded gazelle he described as Bill Shorten.
Mr Albanese responded on Monday.
“I think my record shows I’m somebody who has been loyal to the cause of Labor my whole political life,” he told Neil Mitchell.
“I regard speculation about leadership as unproductive – I’ve never engaged in it.
“What I do is the job I’ve been given and do it to the best of my capacity.”
