More than 97,000 people were at Flemington today to watch Almandin win the 2016 Melbourne Cup.

In a thrilling finish, Almandin narrowly etched out Heartbreak City to hand Williams his record fifth Cup win.

Winning jockey Kerrin McEvoy joined Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell fresh off his big day.
