Man dead after alleged fight in Melbourne’s south-east
A man has died, a woman has been injured and three people are in custody following an alleged fight in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.
A house in Wilson Street, Berwick has been cordoned off this morning as Homicide detectives and a forensic team to comb through the property.
Police were called to the address just before 10pm last night, a female victim was found with non-life threatening stab wounds and a man with life-threatening injuries.
He was treated at the scene but died a short time later.
Police arrested three people nearby.
3AW police reporter Pat Mitchell told Ross and John the property is labelled as an aged care home.
“But I’ve since found out it was taken over by a housing organisation and is now a rooming house,” he said.
“It’s called ‘Women’s housing’ but it’s not just women at this property.”
Of the three people in custody, Pat said it’s believed they were known to the victims.
