UPDATE: A young man’s stolen wheelchair has been found.

Lachie O’Brien called Neil Mitchell last week to put out a plea, with the wheelchair costing him $9,000.  

He received a phone call from the police on Friday, asking if he wanted the good news or bad news.

‘I said the bad news. He said don’t worry there’s none we found it,’ Lachie told Neil Mitchell. 

Lachie had left his wheelchair next to his car on October 31 while he exercised at The Terrace in Ocean Grove. 

A group of kids had been spotted by a passerby with the wheelchair.

Lachie was injured at age 17 in a rugby training accident.
