HALF TIME
West Coast lead by 12 points at the main break, but it’s been an energetic start by Carlton.
The Blues hit the front midway through the second quarter before allowing two late goals.
Carlton skipper Marc Murphy told 3AW he’s happy with how the team has been playing.
“Our pressure’s been a lot better, our spread from stoppages is a little better,” he said at half-time.
“The last five minutes were a bit disappointing.”
Murphy, who has a ruptured plantar fascia, said he hopes to be back running within two weeks.

THE BUILD-UP
Carlton fans can never forget that Josh Kennedy was once a Blue.
Today, Kennedy can become West Coast’s all-time leading goal-kicker with just two majors.
It’ll be a tough ask for the Blues, who will be missing all of their Top 4 from last year’s Best & Fairest count, including skipper Marc Murphy.
Murphy will be a special guest on 3AW during the half-time break at the MCG.
Can the Blues spring an upset? Or will West Coast entrench themselves in the Top 4?
