UPDATE

The number of Cameroonian athletes missing at the Commonwealth Games has risen to eight.

Three more athletes have been confirmed missing after earlier reports had the number at five.

Five boxers and three weightlifters have left, two of whom left without competing.

It’s not the first time Cameroonian athletes have disappeared from an international meet.

3AW reporter Shane McInnes told Neil Mitchell it’s a bit embarrassing for tournament organisers.
