Reason Party leader Fiona Patten has confessed to vaping marijuana while on a parliamentary trip to Canada.

She spoke with Neil Mitchell from Toronto.

“It certainly helped with the jet lag, I’ll tell you that,” Ms Patten said.

It’s legal in Canada.

Ms Patten is part of the parliamentary committee that recommended the state look into legalising recreational marijuana here.

She stressed the taxpayer was not paying for her trip (or the marijuana!).
