It’s a phrase that immediately sparks dread — “we need to talk.”

But for comedian Arj Barker, it’s the truth.

Arj is in Melbourne for the Comedy Festival, and he told Denis Walter our relationship with technology is one of the main things we need to talk about.

“Technology is getting better, inarguably,” he said.

“But I really think our reliance on it, and the amount it’s infiltrated our lives at every level, probably isn’t a great thing.”

Arj’s show We Need To Talk runs until March 22 at the Melbourne Town Hall.
