Three offenders have smashed their way into a hairdressing salon in Melbourne’s south-east, assaulting a man and making off with a stash of expensive hair straighteners.
Callers to 3AW Breakfast spotted at least two salons that had been targeted this morning.
The first report came from Essex Road in Mount Waverley, where the glass shop front had been smashed in.
Police say the hair salon was broken into about 5am, with a 33-year-old man who lives at the back of the property receiving minor injuries when he was assaulted by the three offenders.
Another caller said he saw the same thing at a Rokk Ebony salon on Wellington Road in Rowville.
