A Kilsyth South family picked the right time to leave the house this week when lightning turned a tree into a dangerous spear.

When the lightning hit, the nature strip tree burst.

As a result, a sharp shard flew at the house.

Rumour File caller ‘No One Home’ said residents returned home to see the branch firmly wedged into the window of their front door.
