Neil Mitchell says Victoria has become the “rumour capital” of Australia.

The 3AW Mornings host has been made aware of several stories involving “very well-known” Victorians and their private lives.

“I’ve been given the same names by many, many sources and the information is consistent, too,” Neil Mitchell said on Wednesday.

“But I’m also assured they’re wrong.

“I’ve spoken to several of the people named.

“They are hurt, they are upset and in some cases they’ve had to tell their families about the rumours going around.

“I don’t think these people are lying to me because if they were it would become obvious very quickly.”
