Oscar nominations: Margot Robbie leads Aussie hopes

Australian actress Margot Robbie has been nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars.
Robbie received a nod for her role as controversial US figure skater Tonya Harding in I, Tonya.
The film itself was snubbed for a best picture nomination, which means Robbie, as a producer, would have received a second nomination.
Another Australian, editor Lee Smith, was also nominated for his work on war epic Dunkirk.

#ITonya is very unusual. Margot Robbie and Allison Janney are really good, but the film paints Tonya Harding as the victim. Yes, she had a sad, hard life. But if you see it, remember it's a movie, not a factual documentary.
