Perth Scorchers allrounder Ashton Agar says the depth of his squad will be tested ahead of Thursday night’s match against Sydney Thunder.

Jhye Richardson, David Willey and Andrew Tye all joined up with their respective ODI squads after the Scorchers last-gasp win over the Renegades on Monday night.

Agar told Macquarie Cricket’s Julian King pre-game he was confident they’d be able to cover the trio of omissions.

“We’ve got a couple of young spinners with us at the moment and a couple of allrounders that can step up,” he said.
