Perth Scorchers coach Justin Langer heaped praise on the soon-to-be opened Perth Stadium but confirmed the pitch was a still a “work in progress”.

Speaking to Macquarie Cricket during Friday night’s BBL match between Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers, the former Australian Test cricketer said he was hopeful the curators would “get it right” ahead of the stadium’s official opening on January 28th.

“Everyone who watches or plays there will be thrilled with (the stadium),” he said.
