The government is being slammed over further changes to the pension.

Eric Hiam from Balance Aged Care Specialists told Mark Hawthorne the government keeps targeting pensioners.

‘There’s been nine changes in the last two year to pensions and aged care, all of which have adversely affected the elderly,’ Mr Hiam said.

Mark said the government’s policy was ‘dumb and appalling’.

‘I don’t think it’s doing the government any favours to keep changing the rules by which we try and play,’ he said.

‘They’ve made it very difficult for people to plan for their retirement and know what the rules are.’
