‘We want them punished’: Head of South-Sudanese community
Senior members of the South-Sudanese community have slammed the behaviour of those responsible for the wild party and extensive damage in Werribee overnight.
Richard Deng, Chairman of the South Sudanese community in Wyndham, told Nick McCallum he is disappointed to see a minority group slandering the reputation of the entire community.
“Nick, I am with you and your callers who have been calling in today, these youths, it doesn’t matter what age they are, what are they are doing in the community, they have damaged our name, damaged the name of Africans,” Mr Deng said.
“We want them to be punished, there are laws in this country, we will work with the police to make sure they are identified.
“There are a small, tiny number of youths who want to give a bad name to the majority.”
