Alastair Cook survives HUGE scare early in England’s run-chase
Alastair Cook has been given a life.
The England opener was hit on the pad by Josh Hazlewood early in the fourth innings of the Second Test, but the appeal was turned down.
Steve Smith declined to review the decision, but it would have been overturned if he had.
England is chasing 354 for what would be an unlikely victory.
Hazlewood raps Cook on the pad but it’s given not out.
The Aussies DON’T review, but it would have been overturned if they did.

Somewhat amusingly, Cook was later dismissed LBW off Nathan Lyon.
It was also initially given not out, but Smith did review that one.
