A “phenomenal” season for Victorian cherry farmers is set to see prices fall in time for Christmas.

President of the Cherry Growers of Australia, Tom Eastlake, told Ross and John this season has been a huge improvement on last year.

“The past year of Australian production has been very lush, especially in Victoria,” he said.

“When you come off last year which where you had a crop which was down almost 50 per cent, this year is up 10-20 per cent it does make a big difference on prices.”
