The estranged husband of an Australian teacher shot dead in Kenya has reportedly been arrested in connection with the shooting.

The ABC reports he was arrested along with another man.

Gabrielle Maina was walking along a main street in the capital Nairobi, after dropping off her son at a friend’s house, when two men on a motorbike snatched her purse and shot her dead last week.

Cyrus Bernard Maina Njuguna and John Njuguna Waithira were arrested today.
