Police hunt for man who took ‘selfie’ with teenage girls before sexual assault
Police are hunting for man who took a ‘selfie’ with two girls before sexually assaulting them on two separate occasions at Craigieburn this month.
The two 16-year-old girls were sitting at a bus stop at the Craigieburn train station between 11am and midday on January 2.
A man has approached them, sat between them, took a ‘selfie’ on his phone and then sexually assaulted one of the girls before leaving.
He’s then approached and sexually assaulted the same two girls almost three weeks later at Craigieburn Gardens.
That incident happened about 8.30pm on January 20.
Investigators have released a computer-generated image of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.
He is perceived to be of Indian sub-continental appearance, aged in his 60s and about 160cm tall, with a slim build and heavy accent.
On both occasions he was wearing a hat, dark-coloured top and khaki pants.
Anyone who has information about the incident or the man’s identity is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
