Police nab learner drink driver in Melbourne’s CBD early New Year’s Day
A Learner driver has been caught drunk driving the wrong way on a city street just hours after the New Years Eve fireworks.
He told police he got behind the wheel because he was the least drunk of the three people travelling in the car.
The 20-year-old Werribee man was caught driving the wrong way on Little Bourke street just before 4am.
He was breath tested and blew 0.187 per cent.
He’s lost his licence for 12 months and will be further charged on summons.
