Police seize staggering 300 kilograms of pure pseudoephedrine
A whopping 300 kilograms of pure pseudoephedrine has been seized in Melbourne.
The drug was alleged to have been hidden in boxes of washing powder.
A major joint operation has resulted in five men being charged.
Matt Warren, Acting State Manager of Victoria & Tasmania, Australian Federal Police spoke with 3AW’s Nick McCallum.
‘This chemical is the direct precursor to methamphetamine,’ he tells 3AW Drive.
‘We would say we’ve removed 1.5 million street deals from the streets of Australia, that has to be a good thing.’
