A gunshot victim has presented at the Northern hospital in Epping after driving himself to the emergency department just after 3am this morning.

After the patient was stabilised he was transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

The patient’s car remains at the Northern Hospital whilst Victoria Police investigate.

Other patients have not been effected by the incident.
