RUMOUR CONFIRMED: A pet cat was found covered in paint in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Rhett the cat had to be sedated and washed with vegetable oil to remove the paint.
Rhett was taken to Greencross Vets in Williamstown who were worried paint may have gone in his eyes.
Speaking to Ross & John, the cat’s owner, Theresa, suspects it wasn’t an accident.
‘It was fluro, bright pink; it smelt like it was out of an aerosol can.’
‘We’ve just been looking locally, there’s a community residence across the road, apparently they had some graffiti two days ago but it has been removed, apparently it was the same colour’
Theresa said it took six hours to remove the paint, but Rhett is expected to make a full recovery.
‘He’s fine, he’s very happy thank-you’.
